Tegolasolare is an ordinary roof tiles made of clay but on the surface of the tile is affixed to a solar panel that consists of 4 pieces of solar cells (photovoltaic cells) which are combined into one unit. The shape and also the materials used are the same as the ordinary roof tiles which will enable the use of solar panels to be more integrated with the existing interior because your existing tiles can be partially replaced by Tegolasolare.
The installation of Tegolasolare is also very easy i.e each tile will be connected by cables and the number of tiles can be tailored to the needs of electricity that want to be generated. The advantage of Tegolasolare is that we do not need to replace the entire section when there is a tile which is broken, just replace the broken tile only, unlike solar panel that are attached and if it is broken then we have to replace a whole. Each tile will produce about 11 watts of power source and the weight of each tile is about 1 kg.[via]
