Silk Road, a restaurant inside the Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas, invites one to lounge in its sculptural fiberglass seating that flows to the outside space. Being inspired by a Merchant Meeting House, the result is astonishing personal booths of the cherished dining room. Natural light will light up the lively and glowing colors of the room, while the delicate ambient light encourages a cherished yet cheerful ambiance that gives guests a seductive experience in its sensuous surroundings. The pictures show numerous delicate, fine patterns that are malleable and at the same time soft. There are more than a few dining experiences, from intimate and cradling custom fiberglass banquettes to soft tables that seem to shine with a warm orange light. You’ve got to see it to believe it. The modern farmhouse which is located in East Hampton is designed by Bates Masi Architect. The clients are an extended family coming from England. They would like to live in a place that is away from city crowds and traffic so that they ask the architect to designed them a peaceful house to relax and reconnect with their family and with nature. The design objective was to make every day of that month unique by providing a range of destinations within the site with diverse scales, functions, and views: from gathering in the expansive living room overlooking the fields of the former peach orchard to reading alone on a shaded bench between the library and the edge of the forest. Multiple paths and hallways connect each destination, further increasing variety. Finally, each detail and custom furnishing is designed to make mundane rituals into thoughtful events. In the world of architectural design, there are a number of relatively new concepts that have come out as consumers desire more choices for their buildings and homes.
